Oman Broadband is pleased to announce the appointment of Eng. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Eng. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi has more than twenty years of experience in both the private and the public telecommunications and information technology sectors. During this time, he has led various work ventures as the general manager for infrastructure projects and network rollout at international telecommunication companies. He also held multiple positions in the commercial divisions as the Business Sales General Manager before being appointed as Chief Business and Wholesale Officer of the Omani Qatari Telecommunication Company (Ooredoo) Eng. Sultan Al Wahaibi holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, with a minor in Business from Carleton University, Canada. As part of Ooredoo’s program for International Leadership for Executive Management, he has graduated from the Executive Education Program from London Business School, International Institute for Management and Development (IMD) at Switzerland and Harvard Business Publishing. Eng. Sultan is also one of the graduates of the National CEO Program, launched by the Diwan of Royal Court. He is an active member of the Oman Business Forum and a member of the Alumni Board of the Royal Academy of Management.
