UAE, Dubai, 25th January 2022 – The Fiber Connect Council MENA (previously known as FTTH Council MENA) is happy to announce the Election of Chairman and Board of Directors during its General Assembly; Mr. Ahmad Mekky, from BENYA Capital, as President for The Council for the next two years succeeding Mr. Juan Colina as well as the following members representing leading regional and international leaders in Fiber Connectivity in MENA region who will join Mr. Mekky for the next 2 years as Board of Directors; Mr. Ufuk Colak from Prysmian (Treasurer), Eng. Abdulrahman Alhumaidan from Etisalat, Mr. Auf Albulushi from Oman Broadband, Mr. Gavin Faulds from Sterlite Technologies, Mr. Hamza Alamoosh from Corning, Mr. Mohamad Alghazali from CommScope and Dr. Suleiman Alhedaithy from MEFC.
The Board of Directors will work to deliver successful Fiber Connect MENA Council Annual Event and Exhibition that will take place in Dubai in May 2022.
The General assembly also renewed for the Director General Kholoud Aldorgham and named the Committee Members and the Committee Chairs; Technology and Training Committee: Mr. Eusebi Llensa the CEO of Outvise, (Chair). Market Development and Regulatory: Dr. Suleiman Alhedithy, MEFC (Chair). Smart Cities Opt and Apps: Dr. Houssam Almasri from Khatib & Alami (Chair).
