Founded in 2011 by MOSECO, Draka, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent and MEFC, Fiber Connect Council MENA (formerly FTTH Council MENA) is the region’s fiber industry platform, bringing together more than 30 member companies across the value chain, including operators, vendors, system integrators, consultants and training specialists. Guided by its vision of “an enhanced life enabled by fiber,” the Council promotes fiber as the foundation of smart cities, cloud computing, 6G and AI-driven applications, and works to accelerate fiber adoption across the Middle East and North Africa. It does this in three ways: it convenes operators, vendors and regulators through its annual conference, satellite seminars and member networking; it informs the industry through webinars, a monthly newsletter and regional studies on FTTH, 5G, data centres and AI; and it advocates through committees on policy, regulation and deployment and events held under government patronage. With 15 annual conferences held across MENA, the Council is also one of six regional councils in the FTTH Councils Global Alliance.
