UAE, Dubai, 30th January 2024 – The Fiber Connect Council MENA (previously known as FTTH Council MENA) is happy to announce the Election of Chairman and Board of Directors during its General Assembly; Dr. Ala’a Mousa, CEO, Earthlink, as President for The Council for the next two years succeeding Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman of BENYA Group as well as the following members representing leading regional and international leaders in Fiber Connectivity in MENA region who will join Dr. Alaa for the next 2 years as Board of Directors; Eng. Abdulrahman Alhumaidan from Etisalat by e& (Vice- President), Mrs. Pinar Tasci (Treasurer) from Prysmian Group, ,Mr. Nasser AlHinai from Oman broadband, Mr. Gavin Faulds from Sterlite Technologies, Mr. Khaled Alnatour from MEFC, Mr. Paul Weintraub from Superior Essex.
The Board of Directors will work to deliver successful Fiber Connect MENA Council Annual Event and Exhibition in 2024 and will announce the location soon.
The General assembly also named the Committee Members, and the Committee Chairs will be announced soon; Technology and Training Committee: Mr. Eusebi Llensa the CEO of Outvise, Mr. Mohammed Najm, Chief Portfolio Officer, Earthlink and Mr. Paul Weintraub, Head of International Business, Superior Essex. Market Development and Regulatory: Mr. Khaled Alnatour, CEO, MEFC and Ms. Mischelle S. Tarucan, Business Support Manager – MENA, Superior Essex. Smart Cities Opt and Apps: Eng. Abdulrahman Alhumaidan, Vice President/Fixed Access Network, Etisalat by e&, Dr. Houssam AlMasri, Senior Project Manager, K&A and Mr. Ali Fouad Jumaa Business Excellence Manager, Earthlink.
