STL pre-terminated fiber trunk assemblies: yellow fiber cables fanning out to MPO connectors

Council member STL announced on 24 September 2026 that it has added pre-terminated fiber trunk assemblies to Neuralis, its data center connectivity portfolio, for hyperscale and enterprise facilities running AI, cloud and high-performance computing workloads.

The range comes in two families:

  • Indoor assemblies, from 48 to 576 fibers, with cable diameters from 5.8 mm (48F) to 12.2 mm (576F).
  • Indoor/outdoor assemblies, from 144 up to 6,912 fibers, the largest at a 32 mm diameter, for campus and inter-building links.

Connectors are available in MMC, MTP/MPO and LC formats, in Base-8, Base-12, Base-16 and Base-24 configurations. Fiber options are single-mode ITU-T G.657.A2 (200 µm or 250 µm) and OM4 multimode.

The assemblies comply with ANSI/ICEA S-83-596, carry UL OFNP (plenum) and OFNR (riser) ratings, and are UL 1651-rated for sunlight resistance.

Dr Badri Gomatam, CTO of STL, described the launch as a response to data centers needing more capacity in less time.
