First half of 2023 has been an extremely successful month for Benya Group, having participated in mega-events, significant visits, and holding large partnerships and alliances that have allowed for many achievements.
As a part of “Hayah Karima” initiative, launched by H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Benya Group, the leading integrated solution, digital transformation, and ICT infrastructure provider in Egypt and the MEA region, implemented a set of tower sharing in cooperation with MobiTower, the leading telecommunication O&M Company licensed to construct shared towers. Following this partnership, came the anticipated visit by Prime Minister H.E. Ph.D. Mostafa Madbouly, who inspected Benya Cables, in partnership with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in a tour to check the work progress of several projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and Ain Sokhna Port, accompanied by several governmental representatives. The PM inspected Benya Cables, a subsidiary of Benya Group, the largest fiber optic solutions manufacturer in the Middle East and North Africa (MEA Region). During the tour, Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman and CEO of Benya Group, explained to the PM that the factory built on an area of 60,000 square meters is currently in the trial operation phase, and it is planned to cover Egypt's needs for fiber optic cables and export to other countries in the region, which contributes to achieving the state's 2030 vision to increase exports, localize the technology industry, support local manufacturing, and maximize the slogan (Made in Egypt). After that, Benya Group proudly signed a term sheet agreement with Khazna Data Centers to establish the first-ever hyperscale data center in Egypt at the Maadi Technology Park boasting an impressive 25MW with a total investment of $250 Million covering a total area of 40,000 square meters, the signing was held in the premises of the General Authority of Free Zones and Investment (GAFI), by Eng. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman and CEO of Benya Group; Hassan Al-Naqbi, CEO of Khazna Data Centers. Then both parties signed an MOU with Eng. Amr Aboualam, Chairman of Maadi Technology Park to secure land at Maadi Technology Park for the new hyperscale data center. Both signings were in the presence of Mr. Hossam Heiba, President of the General Authority of Free Zones and Investment (GAFI), H.E.
