Fiber Connect Council MENA proudly participated in the SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit 2025, held on May 26th in Dubai under the theme “Intelligent & Sustainable Transformation of Digital Economies.” Representing the Council at this high-level event were
Dr. Ala Mousa, President,
Kholoud Al-Dorgham, Director General, and
Nader Mohamed, Smart Cities Committee Member.

As part of the Summit’s agenda, Kholoud Al-Dorgham chaired the round-table session on “Digital Enablement: Scaling Success”, alongside UNDP representative Stephanie Boustany.
The session explored vital topics such as
digital advancements, IoT, affordable devices, open technologies, enterprise enablement, fiber infrastructure, and the role of AI in accelerating digital transformation.

The Digital Enablement round-table brought together influential voices from government, industry, and academia to discuss both the critical enablers and the pressing challenges shaping the MENA region’s digital future. The session emphasized the importance of fostering innovation, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and ensuring sustainable, inclusive growth across digital economies.

The Council’s participation highlights its ongoing commitment to supporting the region’s journey toward a more connected, empowered, and digitally resilient future.
