Mr. Houssam al Masri, Senior Project Manager, with more than 30 years of extensive technical and management experience, working with multidisciplinary teams/experts from various fields related to broadband communication networks and smart city infrastructure.
Most recently the Smart City Design Senior project manager at Khatib & Alami, Houssam took over the master planning, of Jeddah Central Development Smart City project in Saudi Arabia.
In his previous positions in the telecom industry in MENA region, Houssam played an instrumental role in managing major telecommunication projects related to Smart cities and solutions, Smart Buildings and Smart Homes, Fiber to Homes and Broadband Access. Led the project rollout in many countries in MENA related to private and public sectors.
In his former role as senior project manager for Alpinada telematics, he boosted market share by wining and completing a vast number of projects in Saudi Arabia and UAE covering multi-discipline activities varying from single dwelling luxury villas to high rise buildings and hotels and national broadband networks and containing a wide range of applications and systems.
Houssam earned a PhD in Computer engineering from MIT. He is serving as a Chairman of the Smart City Opt. and App Committee in FiberConnect Council MENA since 2019. He is a member of ESRI GIS community professionals, and IEEE IT society, and Green Buildings Association. Member of ISO Smart City Technical committee.
