In the extreme heat of Iraq, where sandstorms and daytime temperatures above 50°C are part of everyday life, fiber installation company SANA has accomplished something truly extraordinary.
In 2024 alone, SANA has installed over 7.6 million meters of optical fiber using 21 Jetting V2 machines. With 2–3 shift rotations and highly detailed planning, their team of 3–5 operators has achieved an average of 364 km per machine — with a record of 562 km from a single V2.
“Thanks to routine cleaning and a quick check of the pneumatic oil during each team rotation, the machines have performed flawlessly,” says Mohammed Haider, Fiber Operations Supervisor at Telecraft | SANA Iraq.

PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE DRIVES PERFORMANCE
Based on Jetting’s service recommendations, Aqeel Ismail Haydar, Service Manager at SANA Machine, has developed and implemented a tailored maintenance program that ensures optimal machine performance in the field.
SMART PLANNING IN A CLIMATE OF EXTREMES
Working in Iraq requires precision, discipline — and a deep understanding of the environment.
“From May to September, temperatures range between 35°C and 45°C, and to protect our staff, we work from 4 PM to 10 AM, avoiding the hottest hours,” explains Mohammed. “Between October and April, the temperature ranges from 0°C to 35°C, so we run 24/7 operations in three shifts.”
Every aspect of the operation, from working hours to maintenance intervals, is carefully adapted to handle the heat, dust, and extreme temperature swings — not just daily, but over the course of the year.
TYPICAL SETUP – BUILT TO HANDLE VARIATION
SANA’s fiber installations span a wide range of configurations, typically involving duct sizes from 12 to 20 mm and cable diameters from 6 to 12 mm. Even in one of the world’s toughest climates, the Jetting V2 has shown that it’s strong and flexible – working reliably in extreme heat, dust, and changing humidity.
“Routine maintenance and thoughtful handling keep the machines in top condition. Our teams have adapted well to field conditions, and the V2 continues to meet our expectations,” says Mohammed.
SANA’s experience also provides valuable insights for ongoing innovation. As the company grows and improves, the focus remains on increasing reliability, user-friendliness, and durability in all environments.
WHAT MAKES JETTING V2 STAND OUT?
Despite the challenges, the Jetting V2 remains a trusted workhorse in the field.
“It’s easy to operate, low in weight, surprisingly strong, and simple to maintain,” says Mohammed. “And spare parts are affordable, which makes a huge difference. For us, the V2 is more than just a machine — it’s a long-term investment.”
Regular field maintenance — including cleaning, oil checks, and belt inspections — helps keep performance high and downtime low.
BUILT FOR THE REAL WORLD
This kind of result is only possible when smart planning, dedicated teams, and robust technology work hand in hand. The collaboration between Jetting and SANA continues to drive performance forward — even in the most challenging conditions.
“We rely on our Jetting machines — and they deliver, every single day,” Mohammed concludes.
This achievement is also a result of the close collaboration between the site and office teams. By providing consistent logistical and planning support to the field crews, obstacles were reduced and work was accelerated — a true team effort.
Jetting V2 continues to prove that it’s not only built for precision — but also for endurance.
